I need your help. In August of 2008, I will begin classes at University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. I am excited about attending a top business school; however, my two years at Virginia will cost me approximately $90,000 in tuition. Unfortunately, I don't have $90,000. Herein lies my need for your help.
I've started this site as a method for generating revenue to fund my MBA tuition expenses. Online collaboration, social networking, and crowd-sourcing have all changed the face of the internet. I thought it would be interesting to see if a similar concept could help me pay for my MBA. I have no idea if this will work, but I thought it would be interesting to test.
My goal is to have 18,000 people each make a $5 purchase. Of course I would accept any value, but there is something simple about $5. It's roughly the same price as a coffee from Starbucks or a value meal from McDonald's. Having someone sacrifice one coffee or one value meal doesn't seem like too much to ask.
At $5 each, I only need to reach 18,000 people. Given the power of the internet, reaching 18,000 people doesn't seem to be that difficult. I live in a metro area with millions of people. Approximately 18,000 people live in cities such as Coralville, IA, Vicennes, IN, and Orange, TX. From this prospective, reaching 18,000 people seems reasonable.
